Self‑alerts, smart group search, and more

1. Ask your AI to message you on WhatsApp

This is the big one. You can now tell Claude or ChatGPT to send you a WhatsApp message — a reminder, an alert, or a "done" ping. Just say it naturally:

• “Message me on WhatsApp when the report is finished.”
• “Ping me on WhatsApp at 5pm to leave for the game.”
• “Text me a reminder to call the plumber tomorrow.”

The alert lands in your own WhatsApp “Message yourself” chat, so it's with you on your phone wherever you are. Behind the scenes your AI sends to to_number: "me", which resolves to your own number — you never have to remember or type it.

2. Smart group search — even in communities

WhatsApp groups are information graveyards. CoraPilot now syncs your group names so your AI can find them by fuzzy search — no exact match needed, and it works across community sub‑groups too. Search “flackwell” and it surfaces both “Flackwell Heath FC Minors” and “U13 Flackwell Lionesses”; if more than one matches, it asks which you mean (or offers to search all).

Then download a group's history and put it to work:

• “Summarise the last month in my football group.”
• “Find all the key fixture dates and kit info.”
• “What did the coach say about Saturday?”

3. Real sender names

Group history now shows real sender names (learned from live messages), so summaries read like “Amy: bring water, Tom: I'll drive” instead of anonymous IDs. Names fill in as members post, and once known they apply to older messages too.

4. Never silently disconnect

WhatsApp is a linked‑device connection, and occasionally it drops (a device unlink, or your phone offline for a while). CoraPilot now watches your connection and, if it stays down, emails you a one‑tap “re‑link” prompt — and stops as soon as you're reconnected.

Can your AI reply to WhatsApp for you automatically?

By design, no — CoraPilot never auto‑replies. Your AI reads freely, but it only sends when you ask, and you approve the wording. That's deliberate: it keeps you in control of everything that leaves your WhatsApp. The self‑alerts above are the one exception you'll love, because the only person they message is you.
